The Voodoo-Vibe+ is the latest evolution of the Univibe as used by Jimi Hendrix and Robin Trower. The Voodoo-Vibe+ will faithfully reproduce all the old retro sounds and incorporates the modifications I personally developed for Jimi. The Supervibe was my next evolution of the Univibe and many leading performers including Stevie Ray Vaughan and Robin Trower used this unit. The Voodoo-Vibe followed the Supervibe and is accepted as the industry leader and used by many top performers. The Voodoo-Vibe+ also has a Tremolo circuit plus the usual Chorus and Vibrato functions and the control of the sound parameters has been greatly expanded. The addition of Pulse Square waveforms to the normal Classic waveforms is a valuable and useful addition to the sweep capabilities. The Speed of the sweep generator has also been expanded together with the Symmetry Range and these features greatly increase the options of producing many new and unheard effects and the Voodoo-Vibe+ is a modern and worthy successor to our very successful Voodoo-Vibe. The art of analogue processing has moved forward.
This pedal is built with true bypass switching. The Voodoo-Vibe+ is in a new enclosure with a slightly sloped front and you don't need to remove the bottom to change the battery. No more screws to lose!

Technical:
The Voodoo-Vibe+ is completely analogue in operation and exhibits a very transparent and full sound quality that is lacking in digital products that simulate chorus and flanging effects The digital zipper noise and graininess is eliminated and the guitar tone is maintained throughout the full dynamic range. Class A discrete circuitry is used in all audio stages and results in ultra high audio quality and very low noise. The signal to noise ratio of the unit is 102dB, which is about 12dB better than a CD. Extensive internal power supply filtering is used so that the low noise performance is maintained when using even the most basic commercial mains adapter or battery eliminator.
EXTERNAL POWER ADAPTER / SUPPLY : An external AC adapter (not supplied) can be used and access is through a standard DC power jack ( 2.1mm centre pin ) situated next to the jack sockets. Internal onboard filtering ensures that optimum low noise performance is maintained and diode protection provides peace of mind in case of polarity setting mistakes.
Connection protocol:It uses the standard negative centre pin connection protocol used by many leading manufacturers.

Roger Mayer Voodoo Series:
The Voodoo Series was first developed during 1992 and 1993 to provide players with a link to vintage tones but also to have modern features and wide tone control. The tones have roots and a heritage from the valuable associations with the many famous players who have helped. The philosophy has always been one of continued development and evolution not an unhealthy devotion to producing clones. After all I was there personally in the studio for many landmark recordings by Jimi and many other players and I can assure you that listening to a record and assuming that the tone you hear was made solely one or two devices is untrue. In many cases with Jimi we used multi- path processing and two different sounding amplifiers to produce the recorded tone you hear. Recording and playing live are two completely different animals and that is the reason behind the Voodoo Series development and features The Voodoo Series brings to the player very wide variations of tone control and has dual identical low impedance outputs which are very necessary when interfacing with modern recording and processing equipment. These updated features and great control enable the Voodoo Series of guitar effects to be used successfully in the studio without direct injection boxes or to be plugged straight into the console or other processing devices. These guitar effects are housed in a more traditional style of enclosure and offer many advanced and pioneering features. The Voodoo Series operate both as an active splitter in both Bypass and Distortion modes allowing the player to drive two amplifiers or signal chains simultaneously without any signal loss or degradation of quality. Long cable lengths are not subject to production of high frequency loss and can be driven perfectly. Powering is either from a single 9Volt battery or mains adapted power supply (not included). Extensive internal filtering assures quiet operation with commercial adapters. The on/off switch is a top quality rugged USA footswitch and the status LED clearly visible.
